Janis is responsible for the leadership, corporate management and oversight of the information technology (IT) operations at Durham Regional Hospital, Duke Health Raleigh Hospital, enterprise clinical labs, and Duke Health Community Care (i.e., home health, hospice, and home infusion services). Emphasis is on ensuring that the appropriate information technologies and support teams are in place locally to meet the clinical and operational needs at each entity. Close collaboration with other DHTS ACIOs and staff is essential to ensure:
- clinical integration across the health system;
- alignment of IT architecture and infrastructure within each entity with DHTS standards;
- common processes, procedures, tools, and best practices for customer support;
- successful deployment of and support for enterprisewide clinical applications, e.g., PACS, perioperative system; and
- appropriate investment of IT capital at each entity.
