
Dr. Ferranti is the Associate Chief Information Officer for Health Analytics and Patient Safety at Duke University Health System. He provides physician leadership to the enterprise data warehouse group and works to
integrate clinical and safety data across the health system. Dr. Ferranti's responsibilities also include leadership of the peri-operative development team. This alignment enables better data integration across the continuum of care, and positions the data warehouse to better support the clinical, academic, and business missions of the health system. He is the Principle Investigator of an AHRQ funded research study entitled “Automated Adverse Drug Event Detection and Intervention”. He is a practicing neonatologist at Duke University medical center, and holds a master’s degree in medical informatics from Duke.
