Tony Caruso provides direction and leadership to the Clinical Engineering department for the Duke University Health System. The department is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. The Clinical Engineering department also provides evaluations of new technology, conducts device incident investigations and ensures that equipment is in proper and safe operating condition.
