Rafael Rodriguez has oversight responsibility for the academic and research services for the School of Medicine and operational and technical management responsibilities for the Duke Medicine communication networks, groupware services (mail and calendaring), data base and data warehousing services, and system servers. These services foster patient safety; clinical effectiveness; excellence of care, research, and teaching; effective collaboration and communications and ensure the security and privacy of sensitive information.
